Yasni helps UK users monitor personal information on the web

CBR Staff Writer Published 13 November 2008

Germany-based Yasni has announced that it will soon launch its people search and online reputation management service, www.yasni.co.uk, to enable the users in the UK to search for online information about themselves and also about others.

By accessing personal data, users can ensure that no negative information is being carried on the web about themselves, their friends and relatives. Yasni says that its free service enables people to monitor online information about their children.

Steffen Ruhl, CEO and co-founder of Yasni, said: “So many people are unaware of what personal information is actually available on the internet and Yasni offers a fun way of keeping track of your own and others online reputation; it’s the people’s-people search engine and brings the UK a new level of infotainment.”

Yasni’s internet service, available for people above 15 years, enables users to search for information using forename/surname combination. Enquiries can also be made on the basis of various topics or criteria.

Registered users can create their own personal public web profile. They can also evaluate search results or information on other registered users by various criteria. Registered users have an option of contacting and communicating with other users.

Yasni says that its service helps users research employers or job applicants and find long-lost friends, lovers or relatives. It currently receives 23 million requests each month.
Ruhl said: “The German website is already receiving several thousand visits each month from the UK and so it seems a natural and exciting progression to launch a British version of Yasni.”

As well as in Germany and the UK, Yasni has similar service in Switzerland and Austria.
